A washer that locks up mid-cycle, will not drain, or sounds like a small plane on spin can take a week of laundry hostage. We have rebuilt thousands of Whirlpool Cabrios, Samsung VRT towers, LG front-loads and old-school Maytag top-loads for Rocky Mount homeowners over the years. This page lays out what fails most often, what we charge, and what you can check yourself before booking a visit.

About forty percent of our drain calls are the drain pump filter. On LG, Samsung and Bosch front-loaders that is a small access panel at the lower right of the front of the machine. Open it, place a towel, unscrew the filter, and you are likely to find a sock, a hair tie or a coin. If that fixes it, great. If the filter is clear and the machine still will not drain, the drain pump motor itself is the next suspect, followed by the pressure switch.
Top-loaders have lid lock switches that fail in the on or off state and stop the spin cycle cold. On Whirlpool Cabrio and Maytag Bravos, the shifter assembly is the leading cause; we keep stock of W10913953. Front-loaders that vibrate badly during spin usually have worn drum bearings or a broken shock absorber. Bearing replacement is a four-hour bench job and we will tell you if it is worth doing on your specific model.
A grinding or rumbling that starts low and gets louder over weeks is almost always a tub bearing. Tub bearings are repairable on Whirlpool and Maytag but not always economical on cheaper front-load units. We will be straight on that math when we open it up.
LG OE, NF, LE, UE. Samsung 4E, 5E, dC, LE. Whirlpool F21, F02, LF. Each has a specific meaning and a specific repair flow. If you read us your model number and code over the phone, we can usually narrow it down to two or three parts and tell you whether the truck has what you need.
Leaks during fill are usually the inlet valve or the hot/cold supply hoses. Leaks during wash are the boot seal on a front-loader. Leaks during drain are the drain pump or the drain hose itself. We work the diagnosis by which part of the cycle is leaking.
The truck carries spare drain pumps for LG and Samsung front-loaders, Whirlpool Cabrio shifters, Maytag Bravos clutch assemblies, GE inlet valves, and a full kit of universal hoses, gaskets and lid locks. If your part is not on board, we order from Marcone the same day and reschedule for the next available slot.

On a six-year-old machine with no other issues, usually yes. On a ten-year-old machine that is already on its second control board, probably not. Tell us the make, model and age when you call and we will run the math.
Yes. Stacked LG WashTowers, Samsung FlexWash and the older GE Spacemakers are routine for us. We carry the brackets and harnesses to unstack and restack safely.
Speed Queen is our favorite to work on because the parts are simple and the manuals are honest. We stock Speed Queen drive belts and timer assemblies for the residential lines.
No. Even a small leak can ruin a subfloor in days. Shut off the water at the wall and call us. We hold same-day slots for active leaks.
City water in Rocky Mount is moderate hardness. Wells in outer Nash and Edgecombe counties run harder. Hard water shortens inlet valve life and clogs filters faster. We can install an inline pre-filter on the supply if you want to extend service intervals.
If your dryer is also acting up, our dryer repair page walks through gas and electric diagnostics. To see the cause map for a washer that will not drain, the drain troubleshooting guide is built from real service-call notes. And the LG appliance repair page covers the most common LG washer codes in detail.
